The Lasers
Laser podiatry is the use of the most advanced laser equipment in the form of a Lunula cold laser to painlessly and effectively kill the fungal infection without causing damage to the nail itself. For the treatment of verrucae, I use the Fotona Nd YAG laser which uses a targeted hot laser to destroy the virus at the source. The laser also incorporates a cooler to reduce any patient discomfort. I offer two forms of laser treatment:
Hot laser treatment with our Fotona laser:
The laser heats evenly and deeply through your nail, killing the fungus.
Cold laser treatment with our Lunula laser:
This is a cold, low-level laser treatment to treat the onychomycosis in your nails.
About the laser treatment:
- The treatment is suitable for patients of all ages
- You will be able to resume your normal activities immediately after your treatment
Treatments for fungal nail infection are usually weekly with each treatment lasting approximately twelve minutes.
I will recommend four weekly treatments, with further follow ups monthly for four sessions.
